Design and implementation of an Online Customer Management System

Written on 2016-07-04 07:50:50 By Billy

The main object of this project is to develop and implement a web based application called « an online customer management system (OCMS) » in order to implement a web based customer management system to help property managing companies to provide reliable services to its customers.

The methodology used was “water fall model” because it is very simple to understand and use. In a waterfall model, each phase must be completed in its entirety before the next phase can begin. At the end of each phase, a review takes place to determine if the project is on the right path and whether or not to continue or discard the project.

The first activity in development phase was to study the existing system; this helped in understanding the real needs of customers and employees.
The second activity carried out was actually the design of system; the goal of this phase was to produce a model or representation that was going to be used to build the new system.

The third activity in the development part was the coding phase. The aim of this phase was to translate the design into the code in php, xml and actionscript programming language.
The final activity was to test the system in order to find out if it meets all specified requirements.

After this, we verified and confirmed the hypothesis that our application can be used improved to provide quick and best services to its customers.
Recommendations have also been suggested for further research to enhance, revise and add more functionality to the prototype developed here.
